[reply="I had 2705 points in my account when Univox closed it. They eventually paid me a $25 Amazon git card after my account had been closed for 5 weeks so they did not quite pay me the full balance but I was not going to argue over the 2 dollars they did not pay me.
Univox support told me that if a "bot" ever attempts to get on Univox, they will immediately block the entire ISP network that the bot came from and permanently close all accounts for all Univox members that use that ISP. That seems pretty drastic to me but support says that their "higher authority" had demanded they take this action. I work in IT at a large company and we block bots too but we just block individual IP addresses that bots come from, if we blocked whole networks and lots of legitimate users we would soon be out of business.
Univox is closing many accounts and banning lot of people from their site. I advise Uniovox users to cash out while you still can and get your money before Univox closes your account too for no reason. They did eventually pay me for some of the remaining balance in my account but you have to ask them or they will never pay you anything.
There are no other networks available in my area. Plus, I would probably not change my network even if I could just because one survey company has banned me, I will use other survey sites and consider that it is Univox's loss because I have a lot lof knowledge that could be useful to the companies that provide suveys. I assume Univox only gets paid for people that attempt to take surveys or actually take surveys so they are losing money by banning legitimate users from their site that could be taking surveys and making money for Univox
I have been a long time member for several years but my account was blocked by Univox over a month ago, about the same time Wizard stopped being active on here. I wonder if his account was cancelled also ?
I got another update from support stating that any account using an ISP that gets blocked will also be permanently blocked so my account is blocked for life. I have been a member for several years and was in the top 5 for lifetime earnings at Univox prior to being blocked. Good luck to the rest of the members here but I have a feeling many of you will also get blocked for no good reason, I did nothing wrong but have been permanently banned from Univox.
I have been blocked for over a month. Univox support told me once you are blocked you are permanently blocked, they will not unblock anyone so we are banned from Univox. The only option is to get a different IP address from a different ISP than you currently use.
Yes, they told me now also they are no longer unblocking anybody so anyone that gets blocked can no longer use Univox. They are blocking entire ISP networks which may include many many legitimate users but they said they don't care - all of those legitimate users will remain blocked
I received a message from support today that any ISP network that is identified that it may have a bot is being blocked in its entirety from Univox which may affect all Univox users using that network. All of those users will be blocked and they will not unblock any individual users, so basically tough luck to anyone that gets blocked.
Thanks for the info about resetting up my account using the same email. I had $27 in my account and was just going to cash out when I started getting the message that my account no longer exists so I am hoping to get it restored so I can cash out.
In order to get unblocked you will need to provide your IP address to Univox to be removed from their blacklist of blocked IP addresses. If you don't know what your IP address is you can go to https://www.iplocation.net/find-ip-address to verify what your IP address is. So far Univox has not been able to unblock people even when they know what the IP address is but once they figure that out they should be able to unblock your IP address.
People are randomlly being blocked from accessing Univox. I have been blocked for 3 weeks and Univox support cannot figure out how to unblock me. Several other people have stated they are being blocked also.
My home IP address got blocked on the Univox surveys almost 3 weeks ago and support has been working on trying to fix it since it started and they still can't figure out how to unblock my IP address after almost 3 weeks.
My wife had not received any surveys in her account for about 2 months until Univox finally determined that her account had accidentally been deactivated. Once Univox reactivated her account the surveys started coming in again.. I noticed that when I started getting the "Access to website blocked" message that my account had also been deactivated so you may have that problem also.
Several people have had their accounts blocked due to bad data entering the Univox system and accounts being compromised. Univox is working on cleaning up their systems and we are waiting for another update on the situation from Univox support.
Admin never got back with another update by the end of the week so we will have to wait until next week now and hope they can get this resolved. The information I got back from their support so far made it sound like they had a fairly serious breach of their systems and have a lot to clean up and several accounts may have been compromised which caused the accounts to get blocked.
As an update, in case anyone else is having the same problem with access to the web site or account being blocked, support got back to me and said they got a bunch of bad data into their systems which caused some accounts to get compromised which is what they think caused my problem. They are working on cleaning up the mess and will provide another update in 48 hours.
Thanks for the update. I have sent my IP address to Univox support asking them to unblock the IP address. When I am at other survey sites and get redirected to a SampleCube survey I immediately get that same blocked message so I agree with you that anything related to SampleCube is blocked for me. From my understanding SampleCube is the parent company of Univox.
I ran the antivirus software and no problems were found. I did already have real time protection running previously. I contacted my ISP and they said they wont renew the lease on an IP address until the modem has been off line for 120 consecutive hours so I tihnk I will need to have Univox unblock my IP address.
Thank you. I had only attempted a couple of surveys today and then started getting the website blocked message. Very few clicks and not very fast. Their DDOS protection is way too sensitive if that is what caused the problem and they are going to start losing many users, if it happened to me it is bound to start happening to other legitimate users also.
I just tried going to the site through my Smartphone (with wifi turned off) to get a different IP address and did not get the website blocked message but when I tried to log in I got a mesage that my acccount no longer exists so Univox may have deactiviated my account also. It looks like I have major problems at Univox
thanks - I have tried that also and it made no difference. I have tried with my wife's computer and was still blocked on that computer also. I am still able to access this forum at "forum.univoxcommunity.com" with no problem.
thanks for the advice. I tried several different browsers and my wife tried accessing on her computer and she is getting the same message so it is like the IP address used by our home network is getting blocked.
I agree that this site has never been the same since Univox took away the 5 points for DQ and then added it back. Now there are very low point surveys and many people not getting surveys in their accounts at all. Even though I am a top five lifetime earner on Univox, I have moved on to other survey sites and only rarely come back to see what surveys are available at Univox. Univox used to be the best survey site and as far as I am concerned is now one of the worst survey sites. I had been a loyal Univox member for years but would definitely not recommend them to a friend at this point.
She emailed Univox support and called the 1-800 number support person and they both just kept saying when a survey matches your profile you will get it. Obviously that is not correct since she never did get any surveys in her old account but did get surveys in her new account using the identical profile information. There is a major problem with so many Univox accounts not getting surveys and Univox will not admit to the problem or fix it.
I posted this information a while back but my wife also went from 20 plus Univox surveys every day for several years to zero per day for over 2 weeks. She finally considered that Univox account dead since she was not getting any surveys and set up a new account using identical profile information from her 1st account and started getting surveys immediately in the new Univox account using the same profile information as the 1st account.
Univox had been my number 1 favorite survey site up until last week. Even though they have added the 5 point DQ back, I am no longer receiving any points from completed surveys which is a major problem. Also, so many people are not getting any survey invites so Univox has some major problems to deal with. It is going to take a few weeks at least for me to build up trust in Univox again and see that these major issues are resolved.
It is nice to have the 5 point DQ back, but have completed 2 surveys today including getting the Univox smiley face at the end of the survey and got zero points in each case so something is still not right >:o
I do very good at Mintvine also, I will have to checkout Web Perspectives that you mentioned. I did join PointClub that someone else mentioned today and did fairly well there so that looks good so far.
When I joined a few years ago, Univox had many surveys worth much more. I remember one survey I qualified for that was worth 1500 points and was only about 20 minutes long. The overall value of the surveys has gone down significantly over the last 4 to 6 months
I get survey invites in my E-Mail from Mintvine that are usually the larger payout surveys. They also have options like Survey Street and Rewards Road for their more generic lower point surveys - I usually don't try those too often and stick to the higher point surveys
I agree and plan to use other survey sites until something changes for the better. At this point it is a complete waste of time to try Univox surveys with the extremely low qualification rate and no points for DQ.
I get many surveys from Mintvine that pay 200 to 360 points each and are usually around 15 to 20 minutes in length. They also pay for DQ's and randomly reward 30 points for a DQ, it seems to be about about every 4 or 5 DQ's I get 30 points otherwise the DQ's are between 2 and 5 points each.
OneOpinion.com is also good. PineConeResearch.com is a product testing survey company that sends you free products to try and then review in a survey which is kind of fun to do. They are somewhat selective and don't accept everyone that signs up.
Do you have a recording so you can still see yourself as a kid ? The movie I was in starred Tom Bosley as the male lead and Barbie Benton as the female lead and was filmed in San Francisco. Was able to talk to them and get their autographs between scenes , they were both really nice.
